Honeygo Elementary School
The new school will have a capacity of 725 students and is designed to help ease packed schools in the Perry Hall area. The new 95,555-SF Honeygo Elementary School reconfigured the classroom wing to provide for additional flexibility across grade levels. Located on a sloping site in a clearing surrounded by existing forested areas, the reconfiguration also lowered the classroom wing to sit into the existing hill. Seeking LEED Silver certification, the project’s sustainable elements include geothermal heating and cooling, green roof, recycled building materials with long life cycles, LED light fixtures, and water-efficient fixtures.
