Prince George’s County Special Operations Division

As part of its commitment to local Law Enforcement, Prince George’s County has invested in a much-needed Special Operations Division facility. The new state-of-the-art building will serve as the headquarters for the Special Operations Division and serves as the central hub for the Emergency Services Team, Tactical Unit, K-9 trainers, Crash Team, and other special services. It includes a secure, climate-controlled vehicle garage and an onsite repair bay, ensuring rapid deployment and mission readiness. The building is targeting LEED BD+C v4 Silver certification and includes sustainable features like solar panels, bioretention ponds, EV charging stations, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.

The Special Operations Division previously operated from an old and outdated building constructed in 1951. The new cutting-edge facility blends technology, efficiency and security in an ideal environment for training, administration and responding rapidly to emergencies.
