Being a provider of concrete construction for schools is always a welcome addition to our project list. We are proud of our record of constructing new facilities that benefit students and teachers alike. Currently, we are working with Dustin Construction and USA Architects at the Govans Elementary School, a $37 million project in full production now.

Through the 21st Century Schools Initiative, Baltimore City Public Schools, in partnership with the Maryland Stadium Authority, Baltimore City, and the State of Maryland, are investing nearly one billion dollars to renovate or replace schools over the next several years. New and renovated schools will help transform student opportunities and achievement, provide resources to families, and help revitalize neighborhoods.

As construction continues, students are relocating to the Chinquapin Building until the renovation is complete. Foundations are under way, with the anticipation of structures, enclosures and finishes leading to a completed project in August 2021. When completed, the new school will welcome students and teachers to a new, 88,400 sf  facility with 4,720 sf of play space.

We appreciate the confidence that Dustin Construction has in our abilities and are proud to be a small part of the vision of the Govans Elementary School: to create an environment that is safe, nurturing, and committed to students reaching their fullest potential.
