Sody Concrete Construction presented a Certificate of Appreciation for 40+ years of service to Clarence Marion Fossett Jr. – our longest-term employee. “Junior” joined Sody in the summer of 1978 as a foreman and for four decades has mentored hundreds of those under his supervision. Todd Sody remarked “Your unwavering service to the company, and to your craft, will continue to be the standard for every job here forward. We respect your loyalty and will miss the passion you brought to the jobsite every day. We wish you relaxing days of abundant fishing and bountiful hunting.”

When asked what Junior enjoyed most about the job, he quickly responded “mentoring – the guidance and training I have provided to the young people who came aboard, sharing with them how to do it right – the first time. The number one thing that I stressed was safety – there is no substitute for workplace safety practices.”

Born in Baltimore, in Sandtown, Junior has two sons and is very attached to his Yorkie named Max. When not on the job site, Junior enjoys fishing at Loch Raven and hunting on the Eastern Shore. We are fortunate to have had a leader of such high integrity and loyalty on our team – he is truly an inspiration to the next generation of concrete craftsman. Happy retirement Junior, you deserve all that it brings your way.
